What You’ll Do
Learn management responsibilities of required paperwork, inventories, customers, vendors, and facility operation
Communicate with the customer to determine their needs and advise of the work done
Complete fuel tickets, repair orders, time cards, and other required documents
Perform preventive maintenance inspections
Diagnose mechanical problems
Repair Class 6,7, and 8 vehicles, including engines, HVAC, instruments, brakes, frame, steering, suspension, tires, wheels, drive train, electrical system, trailers, refrigeration, liftgates, and other components
Drive vehicles as required
Perform emergency road service
Wash and fuel equipment
Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly shop
Participate in process and quality improvement activities
What We’re Looking For
at least one year of experience as a diesel
mechanicHigh School Diploma or GED
